​Social media, if used correctly, can be a great asset to any business but to be effective it does need to be planned and managed to ensure the engagement and reach required to promote your business  effectively.

When setting up profiles what you say can be as important as what is on your website so should not be rushed.  Profiles can be worded to encompass SEO.

People buy people so make sure you include photographs but make them relevant to the platform - for LinkedIn something professional but for Instagram something a little more relaxed is appropriate.

Business related  social media should be looked on as a brochure - putting on a photo of your child or pet should be saved for your personal accounts (unless you are running a childcare or pet related service of course!).
